It has been a while since my last post due to a very high workload – I’m pleased to say.
It is a constant balance of keeping various projects pushing forward and preparing quotes for new work, though hectic I seem to be keeping on top of this process – just about.

One project I have been busy on has been to prepare construction/building regulation drawings for two separate extensions and associated alterations and refurbishment of a large bungalow with rooms in the roof set in a park estate with an impressive walled in garden and water features.

Planning was obtained by a London based firm of Architects and I was commissioned to compile a number of required amendments and omissions to the scheme to meet the clients needs/requirements then complete the Building Regulation drawings, co – ordinate the structural engineers information to the re-arranged scheme and obtain planning for an additional dormer.

Planning has been approved for the additional dormer, and the Building Regulations are currently being checked. Due to the large amount of glazing proposed a SAP calculation was required to show compliance with Approved Document L1B Conservation of fuel and power in existing dwellings.
